JOHN WICK 4: Trailer

Here it is! They really, really should have left that dog alone.

When the franchise has made nearly $600 million at the box-office alone, and is a noted good performer in other channels, on combined budgets of under $150 million, these movies are like the gift that keeps on giving for Lionsgate.

Stahelski and Leitch’s approach to designing the world of John Wick fight scenes drew upon their admiration for anime and martial arts films. The film used fight choreographers and gun fu techniques from Hong Kong action cinema. The film also pays homage to works such as John Woo’s The Killer, Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le Cercle Rouge and Le Samouraï, John Boorman’s Point Blank, and Spaghetti Western films.

This is again evident in this trailer.

Two spin-offs in the John Wick universe are in development for a 2023 release The limited series The Continental, and film Ballerina, while a fifth main installment, originally intended to be shot back-to-back with this fourth film, is also in development.

There have also been discussions around a light-touch crossover with Nobody as the creators hold that to exist in the same universe as John Wick.
