We reported a while back that there is a new Dungeons & Dragons movie on the way. Some of it was filmed near me, in Wells, Somerset. Now some of the characters and their outfits have been posted online.
Hmm, it looks like it’s been taken from a fashion show at Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Not sure what style they are going for, but it’s doesn’t look like it is gritty and real at all.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, to give it its full title, stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Rege-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, and Huge Grant. It is written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, based on the original game.
Paramount Pictures will be holding a panel for the new movie at Comic-Con in Hall H today, so more will be revealed. It’s expected that the directors and some of the cast will be there to answer questions.
The film is obviously a fantasy adventure, but Pine has hinted that it’s light-hearted so a mix of Game of Thrones with things like The Princess Bride and even The Holy Grail. I hope they include the Black Knight!
Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves is due out on 23rd March 2023.
