Paramount Move Release Dates Around

Making a movie must be complicated, with filming schedules, budget constraints, and release dates. Not to mention having to please everyone on social media with the story. Paramount has recently announced a few updates to its release calendar.

A Quiet Place: Day One will now be in theatres on 8th March 2024. It had originally been slated for 22nd Sept 2023.

Quiet Place

The movie is being directed by Michael Sarnoski and produced by Jon Krasinski and Michael Bay. The plot is still under wraps, but the titles suggests a prequel since they are the in thing again at the moment.

If is a new movie to directed by Krasinski. It will star him, Ryan Reynolds, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr, and Steve Carell. Originally Paramount had If slated for Nov 2023, but that’s now been moved back to 24th May 2024.

The Tiger’s Apprentice, a movie based on the fantasy novel by Laurence Yep, has been moved from Dec 2023 back to 19th Jan 2024. It will be an animated movie, directed by Raman Hui and starring Henry Golding, Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, Michelle Yeoh, and Brandon Soo Hoo.

Not a new movie, but Paramount is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of James Cameron’s Titanic with a release. This was originally scheduled for 21st Oct this year, but will now be 10th Feb 2023. Which will make it the 26th year. Someone get Paramount a calculator.

Titanic

When I first glanced over the details of this, I thought that Paramount was planning a remake of Titanic. I thought they couldn’t make it today, as when the crew shouted “Women and children first!” the women would have screamed that was sexist, while all the men would have suddenly changed gender.

Also, how the hell is Titanic 25 years old?
